When fear turns into an internal enemy

Dr. Osama Farouk indicated in his book Mental Health and Psychological Counseling that panic disorder can be diagnosed as persistent fear or anxiety of an inappropriate fear response with frequent and unexpected panic attacks involving physiological changes such as: rapid heartbeat, sweating, dizziness, trembling and chest pain.
Causes of panic disorder: 1- Biological factors. 2- Genetic factors. 3- Psychological and social factors.
Treatment for panic disorder: 1- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): This targets the cognitive and behavioral abnormalities that contribute to panic attacks and can be administered individually or in a group setting. 2
- Medication: Studies and research have shown that patients improve with the use of antidepressants, particularly tricyclic antidepressants, monoamine oxidase
inhibitory
MAOIs
or benzodiazepines.
